Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

I Try Too Hard

Peter Gullerud

I try
I try
I try and
try.

I cry only once
but it's true
I cry.

Rococo Jesus Rococo?
My style too styled?
They want less thought
Subjects more mild.

My story is a dark one
It is all 'she wrote'
I think it is something
That should make them take note.

It isn't a goth
With hair o'er one eye
It isn't shock art
A formula "buy". (*Sigh*)

It's not a Mark Ryden
He did that too well
It isn't a rip off
Too easy to sell.

Try to be original.

I do
I do
Yes, think back,
I still do.

Work too hard
Just being myself
I end up
PAper airPlanEd
Trier
On shelf.

I may try again
Please give me a year ~
Time enough to wipe
Away their fear.

REVOLUTION!

I try too hard.
