Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Honey De Family Tree

Robert Hawkins

A bug landed on my nose.
And started eating away.
As a member of the traditionalist,
Concave of the Southern Baptist,
Mormons who believe in, Martin Boorman.
In association with the Buddhist in a funk.
With the Papist who gave up,
Giving a damn.

It's a sin to even brush a bug away.
I stepped on a earth worm.
And had to get down.
Kneel and pray.
Bow your heads eveyone.
Jake, the worm,
Just passed away.
At the funeral the next day.
I solemnly burried 'Jake.'
Complete with a twenty-one gun salute.

Jakes' cousin on his mothers side,
A hundred and eighty times removed.
Burge.
Yeah, that's her name.
I tried to explain.
As I was the one who stepped on 'Jake.'
Whereupon Burge,
Her sisters Poot and Punt.
Let me know in no uncertain terms.
'Stomp on him all you want'
We didn't like 'Jake' anyway.
It just leaves that much more of you,
That the rest of us worms will feast.
We always get you sooner or later.

Poot, saw fit to interject.
Hey, Punt does this guy know,
There's a big bug eating his nose?
Punt, with her lightening fast riposte.
And quick on the uptake.
You missed one 'Punt.'
There's anothere one chowing down.
According to anatomy.
I learned as a little worm.
Isn't this guy suppose to have an ass?

Burge.
Who was the most scientific of the three.
This is a species of white male.
They don't come with a big ass.
They are suppose to have big brains.
Nice theory.
But in reality.
They are a big pain.

Look at this slouch.
Damn, southern-fried Buddhist.
Mormon Baptist.
Or whatever the hell that nonsense is about.
He is pissing me off.
I mean look at this human.
He is a embarrassment.
To hell with it.
Come on my sisters.
Lets grub down.
He's mostly dead anyway.
rlh

note; Honey De, will you tell your sisters to quit biteing on me.
It's that poem you wrote.
It affected me.
I love what you wrote.
But the rest of the world.
Sweetie,,,, what the heck.
I don't know if they will ever know.
