Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Floating

Grant Johnson

How many hours have I been adrift,
alone on this river?
Well, not entirely alone, for I have three companions;
a bottle of jack, a baby orangutan,
and the sweet promise of death.

When did I pick up this orangutan?
Oh yes I rescued him from that other orangutan,
the bigger, stronger, faster, meaner orangutan
This pup didn't have a chance.
Or did he? I don't entirely trust him yet.

Open the blast door! Open the blast door!

Seems like just yesterday I was fighting in the war
Our side was losing and winning simultaneously,
of this I am certain
of this I am certain
of this I am certain
I'm not a politics man but I'd like to be.
I'd like to run for the presedency;
then when I reach the presedency I'd like to tag it,
and run back home.
I just want to see if I can make it there and back before dinner.

Momma's makin' meat loaf
Daddy's makin' domestic violence
Brother's makin' sandcastles on the stove
Sister's makin' a rocket to get to Mars

I'm stuck on this boat.
