Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Dorm Life

Brianna Gilbert

I packed up all my things box after box
I sure hope I got everything
Crap, I forgot my socks
Here's that first call back home
Filled with more tears than the last time we spoke
"I just need you to send me a few things, including my comb"
"Of course honey, we miss you don't forget to call"
Click. Time for bed.
I stare at the ladder, plotting how not to fall
1, 2, 3 easy now... 4, 5 I made it
Now I have to pee
I don't want to climb down, it's easier to just sit.
Sun comes up, Alarm goes off
It's not mine.
Roommate presses snooze and continues to cough
She goes to class, I wake up
Time for class, I'm out the door
Sitting through lectures, I can't do this anymore
Back to the Dorm, thank god for AC
Keep the door open, just met a girl named Macy
I could get used to this.
