Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Dancing Sonnet

Jamie Scott

for Jamie Kozak

i long to dance with her beneath the speckled sky,
to dance forever, waving wildly, in the mid-night moon light ,
a great longing is satisfied, no longer she feels need to cry,
my darling. freezing cold late at night,
tears turn to icicles in this baron land,
a single syllable muttered from my lovers lips.
but no tears are cried and strong we do stand,
incomprehensible still full of meaning, my hands across her beautiful hips,
as we stand strong and we dance on, heave,
i lift her high and soaring, forever and ever she teaches me,
i am a loving pupil, yet still undeserving, grasp i can't as i try why she doesn't leave,
these steps i conquered, alas the simple ones but still bring me glee,
one moment, i may have got it,
nope. problem is, i can't dance for shit.
