Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

DANGER MOCKS MY STREET LAMP

Shirley Gothen

I tried to light the lamps of happiness
I tried to walk down roads
without your name
Its hard
Hard like the ice that forms
on my face while I walk in snows
and think of you
Its really hard
Its really hard like the stones
I throw each time I sit by lakes
and think of you.
Its really really hard
It's really really hard
like the emotions that
plague a mind like mine
and tell me that knives are often better solutions than words.
