Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Chocolate Cake

KRose mcaleer

I love him,
Like a bee loves honey.
I love him,
Like Wall Street loves money.
Tears trail from my eyes
My sorrow is not a surprise.
For he does not love me.
Thus, I am empty.
I am losing my breath, waiting
All this time I was painting
A perfect picture of us in my mind
But he did not respond in kind.
Love is like poison: bitter.
But he dazzles me like glitter.
Maybe if I had longer hair,
He would care.
Maybe if I was lovely
He would love me.
My heart beats for his sake
He’s a sweet as chocolate cake.
