Black and Lonely

Bonnie Merz

My world is black and lonely,
Nothing but tears and frowns,
My nails torn off from crawling the walls,
No ups in my life just downs.

Come free my soul it's aching,
Cant anybody hear,
The shrieks and screams from way deep inside,
It's the sound of unique fear.

Tears of blood now dripping down,
Pools collect at my feet,
I'm swimming through my own red ocean,
Hurt by the people I meet.
