Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Bert Blyleven

Mugs McClain

Bert Blyleven was a pitcher for the Twins--
And yeah, he got a lot of wins.
He threw fast, and played hard,
And kept his cool throughout.
He was a damn good pitcher,
Who would get you out.
He had a fastball and a slider,
And a curveball, too.
But he didn't hit too much,
'Cause they never needed him to.
But,
If he was in the NHL,
He'd never get to the jacuzzi,
Because his name was Bert, not Bertuzzi.
