Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Bananapocalypse

Mike Pitoniak

Bananapocalypse. A Haiku Sequence By A Man Not Entirely Sure That He's Allowed To Organize Haiku Into A Sequence. (Me.)

I
Dear dying yellow
Seedless, you bravely endure
Killing self to live

II
Selfish we are all
Short-sighted in eating you
Nectar of the Gods

III
All lives will be lost
No one to pass the torch to
To whom will we turn?

IV
We will have no one
Appetite insatiable
Selfishness blinds us

V
Still, I sit and eat
Your yellow guts all but gone
Goodbye, my sweet friend.

Mike Pitoniak has published since joining on 30/11/99. Read more of Mike's terrible poetry at the anthology. Here are three of Mike's latest works:
