Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Automatically Happy by Wteve Sakeling

Robert Hawkins

Instead of throwing.
That stale piece of bread away.
Give to the birds.
Not seeing the dirty dish.
But the great meal.
Aready picturing the next.
Looking at your first born.
Picking her up.
Her shying away.
Daddy, you need a shave.
Your heart swells, smiles.
What a great day.
Your smiling.
And she needs a change.
Wife smiles handing you a diaper.
She has that smile too.
She thinking the same thing?
I kiss her and feel good.
She kisses me back.
Feeling good becomes better.
A little lasts the whole day.
Laying baby on the bed.
She thinks the jeans and belt.
I took off last night.
A great new toy.
Tino, our puppy dog.
Hops up to say "Hi."
Tino, smells the diaper.
That look.
I swear.
Tino, saying to me.
I didn't do that.
But will be glad,
To shred the diaper apart.
Baby staring at puppy.
Seeming to think.
A little closer, little closer.
Then I got you.
My diabolical baby.
Mom's at the door now.
She's laughing too.
Automatically happy.
That's me.
