Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Are You There, Sister?

Claudia Skipper

While my sister cries out from across the hallway
I wonder if she's gone crazy, it has been like this for months.

Her mind is built with this framework of sadness
The doctors break it down with those blue tablets
And she passes out and loses her memory.
I don't even know how she keeps doing this, but at least I feel okay.
I mean, who the hell can she blame?

As the winder gets darker, so does her mind
She hides in her room, trying to escape reality
And she finds herself alone.
She writes him letters never to be sent.
Her heart breaks as she pleads.

The flowers bloom out of the frozen ground
She feels better now, she feels so proud.
Her eyes are green, just like the trees
They bloom before her eyes.
And, oh, we're so surprised.
We thought she was gonna die.
