Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Arachnid Understanding

julius chestnut

Contemplating pinecones
I pause beneath the evergreen
And unwrap the sweetness
Enveloping me is the silky non essential gravity of inconsequential happenstance
"Is this all?"
I nod knowingly.
My inward self-assuredness casts a tendril above a weeping cloud
Cutting several colors of the rainbow from its arc of majesty.
Arachnid crawling upon the poking digit from my sandal,
Peering up at me, abalance on thin spindle octopods, the little one does cry.
"I understand", I tell him, oh if he could but hear,
"I understand".
Thunder cracks in the distance.
A streak of lightning and I am naught but saucy, oblate, nay, a truly unkempt plate of intertwined percipience.
