All The World
Frequent Phil
Little sister tests the laws of gravity at the beach each week
She climbs into the roller coaster, but she's not strapped in her seat
Tumble and fall, that's what you might assume
But she grabs the safety bar like one rides a witches' broom
Little sister, it takes a lot to make you break
Far less to make your young heart yearn and ache
Many metal statues rust through days of Cain
A few freed true believers still remember the chains
Some of the sometimes satisfied know when passions are strained
Passion is pain when it's all the world
Passion is pain when it's all the world
Little brother is in the basement and he's building a boat
He wants to set his notes and diaries upon the lake, watch them float
Rejecting standard tools, he shapes the lumber with his hands
But he meets specifications set in well-established plans
Little brother, there is one rule you must learn
And a strange wealth that you'll have to earn
Many metal statues rust through days of Cain
A few freed true believers still remember the chains
Some of the sometimes satisfied know when passions are strained
Passion is pain when it's all the world
Passion is pain when it's all the world
