Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Act Your Age

Justin W. Grover

The sky has finally turned black
Sounds of the world have faded
Bombs are no longer on track
To the enemies that we've hated

The ocean has finally gone dry
There's nowhere left to swim
Sixty-seven, nothing left to try
Our future is looking grim

You've been going on for too long
Getting greedy in your old age
You feel as if you don't belong
You're penning your last page

Now that football season's done
You're bitchy all the time
And you're not having any fun
Seventeen years past your prime

Pushed to your temple
Like a pen to paper
Nothing's fun anymore
Grow up and act your age
Relax, this won't hurt

(In Memory of Hunter S. Thompson)
