A Happy Goodbye

Huma Munir

When you leave today,
I will not cry,
I will give you a chance,
To say good bye,

When you are away,
To a distant land,
Think of me,
As a scarlet ray,

Or a shattered glass,
Neatly on the grass,
Blood Dripping,
From the sharp edges,

A heart that beats,
Cold and Sore,
Frozen emotions,
Of a stinkin’ corpse,

Eyes that see,
But cannot dream,
I have become,
But a distant gleam,
