Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

A Girl I Knew

Jim Fritz

She sat on a chair,
with baby blue eyes
Smooth and soft,
her wild red hair.
We lay together
and gaze at the sky
Her sweet smell carries throughout the air
Fast asleep,deep in dreams
My lips,so gently,touch her cheek
The color of a pinkish cream
One day with her seems like a week
Her strings play a magical tune
The melody pulls on my feeble heart
But the dream will be over much too soon
The sun is down and it is dark
My dearest love, the priceless gem
Has gone with me, away from them.
